Revival and Restoration In Christ

Psa 138:6  Though the LORD is on high, yet He regards the lowly; but the proud He knows from afar.

Psa 138:7  Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.
Psa 138:8  The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.

All throughout the Bible we find the theme of revival, rebuilding and restoration! God is all about reviving his people, rebuilding his people and restoring to them the joy of his salvation! God takes pleasure in reviving the hearts of his people, but he desires one thing. That we humble ourselves, turn to him in prayer, turn from our prideful, haughty ways, and seek his face. Then will God hear from heaven, and send a mighty revival and blessing that will bless us abundantly!  (2 Chron 7:14)

Let’s take a look at what David said in Psalm 138:6-8 again!

King David was saying in this Psalm, although the LORD is seated high above the circles of the earth, he regards the lowly and humble. In other words, he recognizes them! Yet, the proud, arrogant and haughty he knows from afar. In other words he is not moved by them. They are far from him!

Brothers and Sisters, let us always remember that God is not moved by our abilities, talents or accolades. He is moved by our humility, obedience, faith and prayers. Always remember that no matter how high you go, or how much you know, or how much money you make or have, stay humble! As a matter of fact, the higher you go, and the more you have, the humble you should be! Let me say that again. The higher you go, the more humble you should be!

Isaiah confirms what David said about humility and revival:

Isaiah 57:15, “For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”

Did you get that? God said, “Though I am high and lifted up, and enthroned in the high and holy place, I will come down from my lofty abode in heaven, and dwell with the humble in heart.” Child of God, let us never allow pride in our hearts! Let us always stay humble in the sight of God, and he will lift us up according to James 4:10, which says, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”

David also said in  Psalm 138:7 “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me; you will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.”

God knows the troubles, trials, tests and tribulations that we go through, but he will revive us. He will also stretch out his hand against the wrath of our enemies who will try to keep us from being revived and restored!

Psalm 138:8 also says, “The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands.”

To God be the glory! He will perfect everything that pertains to our lives in Jesus Name!  People of God, I want you to know that revival, rebuilding and restoration comes from the LORD! It may be physically, spiritually, mentally, financially, or personally. Regardless of what it is, God himself will bring the revival and restoration, and perfect those things that pertain to his beloved children!

God bless! Pastor Quinn
