The Word of God is eternal and infinite (Psalm 119)

Good day family and friends, Blessings to you all. How many of us know that the Word of God is both eternal and infinite.  There is no way one can be strong in the LORD, without being strong in the WORD!

There are so many scriptures that speak of the excellency and power of the Word of God. In the scripture we read :

Psa 107:20 – He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Jer 23:29 – Is not my word like a fire? says the LORD; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

Joh 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joh 6:63 – It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

1 Pet 1:24  – For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away:

1 Pet 1:25  – But the word of the Lord endures for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

The Word of God has a lot to say about the Word of God and one place we can find this exclusively is in Psalm 119.

Psalm 119 is a Psalm written by King David which is referred to as a acrostic Psalm. An acrostic is a poem in which the initial letters of each successive line form a word, phrase, or pattern.

Every verse in Psalm 119 is dedicated exclusively to the Word of God. It is a beautiful Psalm about the Word of God which is also referred to as:

1. Commandments

2. Judgments

3. Law

4. Ordinances

5. Statutes

6. Precepts

7. Testimonies

Psalm 119 contains 176 verses of scripture which makes it the longest Psalm that was written. What is the revelation about this Psalm?

Psalm 119 contains 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet which can be viewed in most Bible translations.  Each alphabet stanza contains 8 verses of scripture and the 9th verse begins another stanza of verses.

9 in the Bible is an infinite  number which testifies of the eternal value of the Word of God. 9 is also the number of finality, fruitfulness, and divine completeness of the Lord.

We know that the number 9 also speaks of spiritual gifts and spiritual fruit according to 1 Cor 12: 8-10 and Gal 5:22-23.

The Bible also tells us in 2 Tim 2:15, Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The Bible tells us in 2 Tim 3:16-17, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

So for those that are willing starting  today Dec 9th though the Dec 30th, I would like to do a Word study challenge of Psalm 119:1-176 where we will read 8 Verses of scripture each day. The number 8 in the Bible speaks of new birth, new life or a new beginning!

The Prophetic aspect of reading this Psalm which exalts the Word of God, is that we are believing God in 2021 for a new beginning, new birth, and new things for the new year in 2021, according to the Word of God!

As you read and study the 8 verses daily, read it slowly, and get the revelation of the Word as David wrote it, and apply it to your life as applicable.

I pray that this is a blessing for you, and that you grow in the Word and get stronger spiritually, physically, mentally, financially and personally through the Word of God.
