Where is your hope?

Good day all!

1 Pet 1:3 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

People of God, although we don’t know what the future or tomorrow brings, one thing that we can take hope in is Jesus Christ. Peter said we have a living hope. Titus called him the blessed hope in Tit 2:13,” Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.”

The Prophet Jeremiah said in Jer 17:7, “Blessed is the man that trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.” Be encouraged that no matter what you go through in life, or what happens in this earth realm, our faith, hope and love should always be in Jesus Christ our Lord!

Let us never put our faith, hope and love in anything that is earthly, material or perishes! Because everything we can see is temporary, but the things that are unseen are eternal! 2 Cor 4:18.

The scripture says in 1Pe 1:8-9, “Whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you see him not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”

I must be about my Father’s business! (the revelation of twelve)

Luk 2:42  And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast.

Luk 2:43  When they had finished the days, as they returned, the boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know it;

Luk 2:44  but supposing Him to have been in the company, they went a day’s journey, and sought Him among their relatives and acquaintances.

Luk 2:45  So when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him.

Luk 2:46  Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.

Luk 2:47  And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.

Luk 2:48  So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.”

Luk 2:49  And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

Good day people of God!

God has truly been good to us this year despite everything that has transpired in the earth! Now here we are in the month of December preparing to transition into a new year soon! The twelfth month is the last month, and marks the completion of a year or season.

Question: What have you learned in this season or year? What did you accomplish? What did you complete? What goals, visions, aspirations or plans do you have for the next year? Now is the time to begin writing that vision for the new season and year ahead of us! For a vision template visit the FFCF website: VISION Template 2021 – Firm Foundation Christian Fellowship (firmfoundationcf.org)

What must we do, today and going forward for 2021, endeavor to be about the Fathers’ business!  Jesus at an early age, specifically at 12 years old, knew that it was time to do the Fathers will!

Today, follow the example of Jesus, let us purpose in our heart and endeavor to do the Father’s (Yahweh’s) will and be about his business in Jesus name!

Isn’t it interesting that Jesus said, “I must be about my fathers business” at twelve years old? There is a revelational reason behind this! Let’s take a look!

When we look in the Bible, the number twelve is powerful and representative of governmental perfection,  completeness of growth, or governmental administration. It is the mark and signature of Israel.  Twelve tribes, twelve disciples, and twelve Apostles! Twelve is the number for government by divine appointment.

In Matt 19:28, the Bible records, ” So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. “

Twelve can be found in 187 places in God’s word. (Bible) The book of Revelation alone has 22 occurrences of the number. The meaning of 12, which is considered a perfect number, symbolizes God’s power and authority, as well as serving as a perfect governmental foundation. It can also symbolize completeness or the nation of Israel as a whole.

For example, Jacob (Israel) had twelve sons, each of which represented a tribe begun by a prince, for 12 princes total. Ishmael, who was born to Abraham through Hagar, also had twelve princes.

God specified that twelve unleavened cakes of bread be placed every week in the temple with frankincense next to each of the two piles that were to be made. The priests were commanded to change the bread every Sabbath day (Leviticus 24).

There were twelve judges in the Old Testament! The Book of Judges mentions twelve leaders who judged Israel: Othniel, Ehud, Shamgar, Deborah, Gideon, Tola, Jair, Jephthah, Ibzan, Elon, Abdon, and Samson.

Christ called and choose twelve men who became disciples to bear witness to what he did, and to spread the good news of the gospel to the entire world. After he was raised from the dead, Jesus told the eleven disciples (Judas had killed himself) that God had given him ALL power and authority in both earth and heaven (God’s divine authority – Matthew 28:18).

Twelve thousand from each tribe of Israel (144,000 total) will receive salvation during the end time’s Great Tribulation (Revelation 7). A set of 144,000 (12 x 12,000), possibly the same as those in chapter 7, will be taken from earth in order to serve and follow the Lamb of God (Revelation 14:1 – 5). Christ’s bride in Revelation 12, the church, wears a crown containing twelve stars.

The New Jerusalem, which is made in heaven and brought to the earth by God himself, contains 12 gates made of pearl which are each manned by an angel. Over each gate will be one of the names of Israel’s twelve tribes. The walls are 144 cubits high (12 multiplied by itself – Revelation 21:16 – 17), with the city itself being 12,000 furlongs square.

The twelve patriarchs from and including Shem (one of Noah’s sons saved in the Ark) to Jacob (Israel) are Shem, Arphaxad, Salah, Heber, Peleg, Reu, Serug, Nahor, Terah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Solomon appointed twelve officers over Israel in 1 Kings 4:7, ” And Solomon had twelve governors over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household; each one made provision for one month of the year.”

The high priest’s breastplate, also called the breast-plate of decision, had twelve stones embedded in it. Each stone represented a tribe of Israel. The Urim and Thummim were part of the High Priest’s breastplate. They were primarily used to consult God regarding important matters (1Samuel 28: 3 – 6, Numbers 27:21 and so on). Both the first century historian Josephus and the Talmud identify the Urim and Thummim with the breastplate stones.

Jesus said at his request, the Father would send twelve legions of angels. Matt 26:53

There was a woman who was healed with an issue of blood after being sick twelve years! Matt 9:20-22

In the book of revelation we read of a woman with a crown of twelve stars,  Rev 12:1

The new Jerusalem has twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, It has twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the lamb! Rev 21:12-14

The Biblical number of God’s government is 12, symbolized through Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God, prophesied by Isaiah the Prophet:

Isa 9:6  For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; and the GOVERNMENT will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isa 9:7  Of the increase of His GOVERNMENT and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

So in this twelfth month, don’t wait until next year. Seek the Lord now, and draw near to him so they everything that God has purposed in his Word concerning you and your family will come to pass!

God bless, Pastor Quinn

Take time with God

Good day all, the Word of the Lord says in John 18:2, “And Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus often met there with his disciples.”

Two questions from the Lord? How often do you take time to meet with God? And if so where is that place?

The Bible says that even betraying Judas knew the place to meet with the Lord! Wow! Knowing is good, but we must endeavor to enter into that secret place with God.

It is imperative that we take time to meet and hear from the Lord in this season! Don’t allow priorities and personal things to hinder your time with the Lord.

Take the time each day to rest in God and meditate on a scripture(s). As you feed your body to be healthy, feed your spirit as well! It will bless your entire life! God bless, Pastor Quinn

Am I my brother’s keeper?

Good day family and friends, the Word of the Lord today is:

Gen 4:9-  Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”

One of the most profound stories in the Bible is that of Cain and Abel. Two brothers born to Adam and Eve. Many of us know the story. As they came to present an offering to the LORD, Abel’s offering was accepted, and Cain’s was rejected. As a result Cain was upset with God and his brother, and eventually he killed his brother Abel. Let’s read!

Gen 4:4  Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering,
Gen 4:5  but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.
Gen 4:6  So the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
Gen 4:7  If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”
Gen 4:8  Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.
Gen 4:9  Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”

There is a lot in this story, but the one thing we find in the scriptures is that God desires for us to serve and worship him in a certain way. And when we don’t do it in the way he desires, he gives us the opportunity through his grace and kindness to get it right. Isn’t it wonderful that God loves us so much that he does not want us to fail. But we must accept his way of correction and submit to it!

But we find that Cain was very angry with his brother Abel because God accepted Abel’s offering, and rejected Cain’s! As a result he killed Abel! The Bible says in verse 8 that he talked with his brother, and then when it came to pass in the field, he rose up and killed him.

Notice they had a conversation and it got ugly. Isn’t that the same today. People on both sides of an agenda often talk, sometimes yelling and screaming with anger, bitterness, resentment and even jealousy, which could lead to violence and death. We must reject this spirit of anger, resentment and jealousy!

Because as we see in the scripture, it leads to violence and judgment by the LORD. We see this division not only in the world, but in religion as well. Its amazing that people are at an all time high in division, disagreement, and disunity!

The Bible says in Psa 133:1, “A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! ” Unity is a powerful doctrine. I wrote a book on this which is very profound! How Good and How Pleasant it is: The importance and Power of Unity – Wisdom for Life Devotional (jamalquinn.com)

The sad thing about this story is that Cain killed his brother and the LORD asked him in verse 9, “Where is your brother?” Cain’s response was, ” I know not, or I don’t know: Am I my brother’s keeper?”

Not only did he commit murder, but then he lied as well. Cain made a statement in which he said, “Am I my brothers keeper?” The answer to that questions is, “Yes, you are your brothers keeper!” and guess what, it is the same for females. Yes, you are your sisters keeper! Don’t ever forget that!

How many of us know that we must look out for one another as brothers, sisters and even friends! Peter once asked Jesus a very good question:

Mar 10:28  Then Peter began to say to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You.”
Mar 10:29  So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s,
Mar 10:30  who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.

Notice that when you come to Christ, you lose nothing. You only gain more! Notice in verse 30, Jesus says you will receive a hundredfold in this time, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and lands with persecutions, now and in the age to come eternal life.

So we see that having physical relationships and spiritual relationships are very important! Don’t take either one lightly! Friendships are important as well! Look at what the Bible says!

Pro 17:17- A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Pro 18:24 – A man that has friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

Today we see that the love of many has grown cold. Don’t let your personal feelings and emotions hinder your relationships with your brothers, sisters and friends. Because if love is the greatest commandment, and we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. We may stand before the LORD as a result of a lack of love for brothers and sisters in Christ.

Mat 22:36  Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Mat 22:37  Jesus said unto him, you shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38  This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39  And the second is like unto it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Mat 22:40  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

We do understand that we cannot embrace everyone and all relationships. This is a fact of life. When I refer to friends, I mean those that are true friends. Not fake or fickle friends, but friends that stick closer than a brother or sister!

Sometimes we even have to love others from a distance, if it enables us to have a peace of mind. But let us never have the spirit of Cain toward one another! It only leads to sin, and sin leads to judgement if we do not control it. Read what the LORD said in Gen 4:7:

Gen 4:7  If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”

Brothers and Sisters, remember that you are your brothers keeper! Don’t allow pride, hate and division to hinder your relationships. Look out for one another, pray for one another, encourage one another, and above all, remember that you are your brother and sisters keeper!

God Bless, Pastor Quinn

Wait on the LORD

Good day all,

The Word for today is: Wait on the Lord! Lam 3:25-26 says, “The LORD is good to them that wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.”

Why are we in such a hurry when God takes his time? The Bible constantly tells us to wait. Sometimes God will push us and move quickly, but waiting is good despite the contrary. Don’t let the mentality of a microwave society get you out of the will of God.

Slow down, pray, seek God’s face and wait on the LORD. The LORD promised a blessing in his Word when we wait on him, and guess what? God knows what’s best!

Read the following scriptures:

Isa 30:18  Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.

Isa 40:31  But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Psa 27:14  Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!

Psa 37:7  Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Gal 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.

2Pe 3:8  But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

God bless! Pastor Quinn

Are you ready for the shift into a new season?

Good day all, we just transitioned into a new month of November and see so many changes. The time has changed. The weather has changed, the season has changed, the year is about to change, our presidency could possibly change, and guess what? The church and people of God must shift and change as well.

If there is anything we learned in 2020, it is that anything can happen! New seasons bring many challenges, changes and circumstances that we can’t control!

This is the season to get reconnected to the body. No man or woman is an island. Paul asked the question in Rom 8:35, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”

This is a powerful scripture because there shouldn’t be anything in this world that separates us from the love of God or one another. This is the season for the church to walk in the virtues of unity and love.

The present conditions of our country and COVID have produced division, discouragement and deception, but nevertheless the only thing I know is certain; God’s kingdom agenda is moving forward.

When the Lord returns he is coming for a complete body. Not a people disconnected, divided, deceived or discontented, but a victorious, faith filled body of believers who are uncompromisingly standing strong in faith, and walking in unity and love.

As we prepare to shift into a new year, seek the Lord and pray that we have an ear to hear what the spirit of the Lord is saying to the church, and even more importantly concerning your life. There is nothing more important in this new season than being in the perfect will of God! Read Matt 22:35-40 and John 17:20-23.

Be blessed, Pastor Quinn

The Blessing of waiting on the LORD

Good day all,
The Word of the Lord today is patience. In the scripture patience and waiting on God is important. God moves in times and seasons.

The Apostle Peter said in 2 Pet 3:8, But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Remember that God is eternal, ordains time, but He is not subject to time or our time. The Apostle Paul reminds us as well in Gal 6:9, And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season (the proper time) we shall reap, if we faint not.

The scripture emphasizes and encourages us to wait.

Isa 30:18 KJ2000 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of justice: blessed are all they that wait for him.

Isa 40:31 KJ2000 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Mic 7:7 KJ2000 Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

Luk 12:36 KJ2000 And you yourselves be like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he comes and knocks, they may open unto him immediately.

We live in a microwave society where social media pushes us to be quick, fast and in a hurry. But not so with the Lord!

If you are waiting on God, be encouraged. God knows what you have need of. Remember God is in control, and when we wait on him he will manifest exactly what we need in the proper time and season.

God bless, Pastor Quinn

The Love of God

Mat 22:35-40 AKJV 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like to it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Good day all, In the Word of God, Jesus said many things which could be called hard sayings. In other words, only those that understood the revelation, or to whom it was revealed could receive it.

In Luke 6:31-38 31, Yeshua said, “And as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them likewise.
32 For if you love them which love you, what thank have you? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if you do good to them which do good to you, what thank have you? for sinners also do even the same.
34 And if you lend to them of whom you hope to receive, what thank have you? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
35 But love you your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.
36 Be you therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven.

This is truly a hard saying. The reason this is a hard saying is because not many people can do this. Only those who have the Holy Spirit of God and the fruit of the spirit can understand that as God is merciful, kind, compassionate and abounding in love, so should we be towards one another.

The Bible says in the last days, the love of many will grow cold. Matt 24:12
You can see it clearly not only in the world, but in the church.

As I was praying the Lord showed me that if love is the greatest commandment, and people violate it, in that day they will stand before God because of the lack of it.

God is love,  God’s love is so merciful, vast, wide and deep, that I don’t think we truly understand it at times. It is beyond human comprehension. This is why this scripture is a hard saying.

Always remember that to be meek does not mean you are  weak. Jesus was meek but certainly not weak! Love is the greatest virtue one could ever possess.

Remember that Jesus said vengeance is mine, I will repay. Rest in God’s Word today knowing that he loves you and sees the struggle, and the pain. As the righteous judge of heaven and earth, he will render the appropriate justice in due season! May God bless you!

Kingdom Mindset Shift

Mat 6:9  In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
Mat 6:10  Your kingdom come. Your will be done in earth as it is in heaven.

One of the things we must always remember is that when God saved us, he called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. Which means that although we are in the world, we no longer have the spirit of this world but of Christ. The Apostle Paul said in 2 Cor 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

To be in Christ means to be a new creature, or a new creation, with a completely different mindset. It means that you have been transformed into the glorious image of Jesus Christ. If you still have the spirit of the world, and doing the same things you were doing many years ago, transformation has not taken place. There is a big difference between change and transformation. A caterpillar in a cocoon is not changed, it is transformed!

The Bible says in Rom 12:2, “Be transformed by the renewing of our mind!” How do we renew our mind? Through the Word of God, prayer, drawing near to God, hungering and thirsting after righteousness, and keeping our eyes stayed on Jesus!

The renewed mindset of Jesus Christ is a Kingdom mentality or Kingdom mindset. What is the Kingdom mindset? It is a mind stayed on Jesus. It is a mentality of being about the Fathers business. It is doing the will of our Father in Heaven, and what he desires, is what we desire!

God did not save us to have the spirit of the world, or mindset of the world. It is amazing to watch people who say they love Jesus Christ, fight and squabble over who should be the next President. Yes we have the right to vote, and we can vote however we desire, but our primary focus should be on the Kingdom of God. Jesus told us to pray the following in Mat 6:9-10, In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.  Your Kingdom come, your will be done in earth as it is in heaven.

So in essence we should spend more time praying for God’s Kingdom agenda then for anything else truth be told. Because that is what he told us to pray for. Its not our will, but his will be done in the earth. The problem with most believers is that they want their will, and the will of their candidate to be done. To be out of the will of God is a dangerous place to be. Jesus set the example for us in the garden of Gethsemane before he went to the cross.

Mat 26:39 –  He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

Did you get that? Jesus the Christ prayed, “Not my will, but as you will!”

The division in this country is senseless, black against white, racism, police against people, churches divided, people divided, and families divided, but we understand that a house divided against itself cannot stand, and is brought to desolation according to Matt 12:25.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, although we are in this world, we are not of this world. Let us always remember that we are Kingdom citizens in Christ! If you don’t believe me, look what the scripture says!

You are a royal priesthood – 1 Peter 2:9: But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

In the Old Testament, you were either a King or Priest. We are both in Jesus Christ!

You are an ambassador for Christ – 2 Cor 5:20: Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

Do you understand the significance of an Ambassador. An Ambassador is a person from a country or Kingdom sent to another country, who represents his or her country. They represent the values, thoughts and agenda of that country from which they have been sent, and they are not to deviate from their assignment!

As Ambassadors of Christ,  we present the Kingdom of God. I know you were born here, you live here. But first and foremost, if you have been saved, and accepted Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior, you a Kingdom citizen in Jesus Christ first! Why? Because you have been born again of his spirit, and washed in the blood of the Lamb!

We are of the household of faith – Gal 6:10:  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

It is amazing that people who say they are of the household of faith have more faith in their political party or affiliation then they do in Christ, as if a man will save them. People of God, we are Kingdom citizens and always remember that Jesus said in Joh 15:19, “If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. “

Many people need a Kingdom mindset shift. Remember, we are in the world but not of the world. You should have the Kingdom mindset that Christ had. Remember he said my Kingdom is not of this world! (John 18:36) I understand that we are in this earth realm, and you cannot be so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good, or so earthly minded, that you can be no heavenly good. You must strike a balance and not get wrapped up in idle talk, and godless vain arguments about candidates.

Because truth be told, God has already decided in heaven all things that pertain to life, godliness, heaven and earth. Listen to the scriptures:

Isa 46:10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,’

Rev 1:8  “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

The Kingdom mindset understands that prayer is the key. We must get on one accord and pray with power always without ceasing, and pray the following according to Mat 6:9-10 which says, “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.  Your kingdom come, your will be done in earth as it is in heaven.”

God bless,

Pastor Quinn

Its Time to Fight!

2 Cor 10:3  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.

2 Cor 10:4  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.

Today I want to encourage you from a subject of extreme importance in these last days in which I believe affects each and every one of us as believers in Jesus Christ.  For many months we have been dealing with this COVID-19 situation, and many of God’s leaders and people have discerned an increase in demonic activity in the earth.

As we watch the news, we can see that crime has increased, racism has increased, division has increased, the country is going through a serious transition in the economy, the unemployment rate has increased, great companies that have been around for many years are closing doors, and we find that even the people of God are getting discouraged, frustrated, impatient and even wavering in their faith.

I want you to know that the level of activity in the physical realm is equal or greater in the spiritual realm. When you see criminal activity, murder, immorality and destruction,  increasing in the physical realm, you know that it is increasing in the spiritual realm as well.

The enemy is relentless, and he is constantly accusing, discouraging, deceiving, and attempting to hinder the plan of God and the purposes of God in your life. But  Isa 59:19 states, When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him.

In other words when the enemy comes against you like a flood to overtake you, to drown you in your sorrows, in sickness, in pain, discouragements, disappointments and despair. The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. That’s why Isaiah also said, “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper.” It may form, but it will not prosper in the end! (Isaiah 54:17)

And so the first thing we need to understand, “Who is the enemy ?” Its not your neighbor, its not your Christian brother or sister, its not your husband, its not your wife, its not that friend or family member who has been acting crazy.  It’s your adversary Satan! The name Satan in Hebrew means enemy or adversary.

And so you have got to understand that Satan is the author of confusion, and he comes to steal, to kill and to destroy according to John 10: 10

The Bible says the following in 1 Peter 5: 8: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. “

And so we have got to understand that even as the eyes of the Lord go to and fro throughout the earth to show himself strong on your behalf of those whose hearts are perfect towards him according to 2 Chron 16: 9. The enemy is doing the same thing, except he wants to destroy your testimony, your future, your family, your ministry, and the anointing this is upon your life.

I find that many Christians are going through for various reasons. Some of us are being tested, some of us are experiencing life, and some have gotten out of the will of God. But like Job we have got to stay focused. Job lost everything he had.  His family members, his finances, his future, and his health. Its ironic that many of us are being attacked in those same areas. But I want you to know that greater is the Jesus that lives in you than he that is in the world.

But Job never wavered in his faith and he didn’t curse God. Even his wife told him, “Curse God and die.” (Job 2: 9). 1 Peter 5: 9 gives you the answer of how to deal with situations in your life when the enemy comes against you.

1Pe 5:9  “Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.”

Many times we think that our battle is against flesh and blood but it is a spiritual battle.

Eph 6:12  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

A spiritual battle must be fought in the spirit.  And we must understand that in order to defeat the forces of darkness we must filled with the spirit of God, led by the spirit and always walking in the spirit. The scripture says:

2Co 10:3  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.

2Co 10:4  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

2Co 10:5  casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Jesus is our example in how to deal with the devil! 1 John 3:8 says, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

Jesus Christ came into this world to restore the broken fellowship between God and man in which sin broke that fellowship. Jesus accomplished his mission and returned to the father.  But he gave us authority and power in the earth over all the power of the enemy. And we are to exercise that power!

Luk 10:19 says, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

But what I am finding and observing in these last days especially with this COVID situation that many are worrying, when they should be warring in the spirt, worshipping the LORD, and working for the LORD!

It’s almost like that movie the lion King, where the young lion doesn’t realize the power and authority he had was his inheritance. And because he didn’t realize who he was, the powers of darkness overruled the Kingdom. But someone had to awaken the King in him, to get him to realize that he was more than a conqueror, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a chosen generation.  One day he looked at his self in the water and he saw the reflection of greatness in his father and in his self.

In other words he came to his senses. I want to awaken the King in you! I’m talking to you now saints, you are a mighty man of valor, you are a virtuous woman in Christ.  You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You’ve been washed in his blood, sanctified by his saving grace. Jesus is the lion of the Tribe of Judah; you have his spirit on the inside of you, which gives you the power of the King.

Its time to walk in your authority. Its time to take back your joy, your strength, your finances, your future, your family, and everything that the enemy has stolen or is attempting to steal.

Yes, we know the Devil is busy, but we must be about our Fathers business. (Luke 2:49) The problem is that we have not completely submitted ourselves to God, but leaned on our own understanding. Satan then takes advantage of this and attempts to use our own ignorance to discourage, or hinder or hurt us.

In the natural an athlete must train daily to stay in top shape. As a Christian, you must train daily by staying strong in the Word, praying in the spirit, fasting, unifying with other believers, encouraging yourself in the Lord, and building yourself up on your most Holy faith!

Its time to fight in the spirit and get radical about spiritual things! The Word for today is get radical, refocused, and refreshed with spiritual fire to win in the spirit realm! When we do this, we will get the victory in Jesus Name!

May God Bless you,
