Revisiting the Vision

The Word of the LORD for this week is “Revisiting the Vision” The scripture says in:

Hab 2:2  Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.
Hab 2:3  For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, It will not tarry.
Hab 2:4  “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith.

At the beginning of the year, January 2019. Many of us wrote a New Years Vision! We did not write resolutions, because many things that we resolve to do, we never quite resolve to accomplish! Writing a vision is Biblical. There are many people by the wisdom of the LORD who wrote personal and family visions with spiritual, physical, financial, and personal goals at the beginning of 2019. Have you revisited the vision? Have you looked it over to see if anything you wrote has come to pass?  Have you ran with it? Did you have the faith to see it come to pass? If what you have written has not come to pass, revisit it, rewrite it, pray over it and stay in faith!

Always remember that if some aspects of the vision have not come to pass, this doesn’t mean that it won’t happen. It means that the appointed time is not yet. God in his wisdom has appointed a specific timeframe for all things to come to pass.

The Bible says in Hab 2:2, that the LORD commanded the Prophet, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.” If you have written it, you must read it, and then you must run with it!  The scripture implies that there are things that we must do, and things that God will do. What must we do? We must read it and run with it! God had given us gifts, talents and spiritual abilities to do what he has called us to do! So the questions is? What has God called you to do, and are you running with the vision?

God then tells us in Hab 2:3  says, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”   Tarry literally means to stay longer than intended; to delay or to wait. The LORD said, “The vision I have given you is for an appointed time. Not your time, or man’s time, but God’s time.

In other words, God said, “I gave you the vision, and there is an appointed time when I will bring it to pass.” You must write what you hear, and then make preparations to see it come to pass. How do we do that? By sowing into it! By giving our time, talents and treasure to it, being excited about it, by praying over it, and above all running with it!

The LORD even said that even though it looks like nothing is happening, in the end it will speak and not lie! God said if it takes a long time, wait for it!  Wow, this is powerful! God is literally saying that you have a part in the vision, and I (the LORD) have a part in the VISION. You are to write it, read it, and run with it, and have faith. Then at the appointed time, I will bring it to pass!  Notice that Hab 2: 4 says, “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith.”

In other words, we must have faith!  There is no vision that will come to pass without faith! Sometimes God will give us an assignment and when we don’t see anything happening, we get discouraged, we get impatient and we want to give up. But God said, it is for an appointed time. Though it takes a while, or if there is a delay, wait for it. And while you are waiting for it, don’t get in fear, don’t doubt, and don’t have a spirit of unbelief!  Why? Because it is through the eyes of faith that the vision will come to pass!

Remember for any vision, goals, dreams or aspirations that you may have. You should write it down and make it plain! Then you must read it and run with it. In other words you must put some works to your faith. Remember faith without works is dead. (James 2:20) Do you have the faith to see it come to pass? If what you have written has not come to pass, remember you must revisit it, pray over it, rewrite it, or revise it and always stay in faith!

The scripture says that God is not a man that he should lie. If he ordained it, it will surely come to pass! It makes no matter whether it is spiritual, physical, financial or personal. God knows the plans he has for you, and it will surely come to pass in the designated timing and season of the LORD!  Be blessed, stay encouraged and above all, stay in faith! God Bless!
