How is your love walk?

Good day Saints, A Word to ponder today is:  How is your love walk?

In light of everything that is transpiring in the earth and all around us, we must do a self check to ensure we that we are following the Word of God.

The Bible has a lot to say about the love of God and our love for one another. As a matter of fact, some of the most important scriptures concerning the virtue of love were taught by the Lord Jesus, Moses, the Apostle Paul and the disciple that Jesus loved: John.

Sometimes when we talk about unconditional love, people are indifferent toward it. But the Lord wanted me to expound upon it because it is an important virtue!

The love I am referring to is the unconditional love of God. Not conditional love, universal love, fake love, pseudo love or fickle love, but the love that God had for us when he sent his Son according to John 3:16.

As I was praying one day, the Holy Spirit revealed that if love is indeed the greatest commandment, many of us will stand before God concerning it in that day! (Selah) 👀

The Bible says in Prov 10:12 KJ2000 says, “Hatred stirs up strife: but love covers all sins.”

One the greatest prayers in the Bible is the Shema, where Moses tells Israel:
Deu 6:4-5 KJ20004 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

Jesus confirmed this in Matt 22:35-40 KJ2000 and added to it!

35 Then one of them, who was a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him, and saying, 36 Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Jesus also rebuked a loveless church in his letters to the churches in Rev 2:2-4.

Before going to the cross Jesus told the disciples in John 13:34-35 KJ200034 A new commandment I give unto you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another.

Remember this was to the people of God, not the world.
The Lord revealed to the disciples in his sign of the times, end time exposition that the love of many would grow cold :
Mat 24:12-13 KJ200012 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Even in the body of Christ and churches today, we find distrust, disunity and a lack of love.

The writer of Hebrews said in Heb 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.

In other words, let us keep the faith, consider one another, walk in love, and stay in unity. Always remember, the love of God will unite us not divide us!God bless, Pastor Quinn
