Sweet Victory Through faith In Christ

1 Cor 15:57  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 John 5:4, For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

How many of us know that we live in truly interesting times? So much uncertainty and sickness all around us, but I am reminded of what Paul told the Corinthian church in 1 Cor 15:57 – But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Although we live in tough times, we have sweet victory in Jesus name! Someone may say how so? Because I don’t feel like I have the victory!

Well, there is no defeat in Christ! No matter what you go through in life, whether it be sickness, financial difficulty, or loss of a loved one, always remember that we have the victory in Jesus name!

Paul said, thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through Jesus our LORD! Not only that but John confirms it in 1 John 5:4, For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

Did you hear that? Read it again! I encourage you to trust God, believe God, and have faith in the one who is well able to make all grace abound towards you!

What we see today in the world is fear of the unknown! But the Apostle John said whatever is born of God overcomes the world through faith!

Have you been born again of God? I mean, have you accepted Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior? I’m not talking about a Church relationship, or going to Church, which is important of course!

But do you have a relationship with Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior? I encourage you to put your faith in Christ.

In these times they we live in, only our faith in God will give us the absolute sweet victory over all obstacles that come against us.

Understand that as a child of God, you are in this world, but not of this world. Yes, we are citizens of the country in which we live and or born, but once you are born again in Christ, you become a citizen of the Kingdom of God.

Which means you are now entitled to the benefits of the Kingdom of God. Just like a US citizen, who is entitled to certain benefits in the country. It is the same in the Kingdom of God and even more! Look what the scripture says:

Phil 3:20  For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Col 1:13  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Col 1:14  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

The benefits and blessings of the Kingdom of God are:

Protection, according to Isaiah 54:17.

Peace, according to Isaiah 26:3

Provision, according to Phil 4:19.

Prosperity, according 3 John 1:2.

Purpose, according to John 10:10, and so much more!

So, what must we do? Well, Paul tells us in 1 Cor 15:58-  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

People of God, I don’t care how bad it gets in this world. Don’t give up on God! Keep your faith strong in God. Never loose your faith, because your faith will give you the victory in Jesus name.

I encourage you to trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path. Proverbs 3:5-6

I say this not only because I read it in scripture, but through experience! Because God has given my family, members of our church, and many others, sweet victory through faith in Christ!

God bless, Pastor Quinn
