Are you connected through the Faithbook?

Rom 10:17  So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Heb 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Heb 11:2  For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

Heb 11:3  By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

I want to continue with our teaching on Overcoming Faith, and I want to ask you a question? Are you connected to God through his faithbook? This is an interesting question, but I will explain in a moment!

We have been sharing over the last month on the importance of having overcoming faith in the times that we live in.  In our last teaching I shared the importance of overcoming by the Word of God and the Name of God, and today I am going to go a little deeper as it relates to overcoming by the Word of God. Because this is a profound revelation that has been given to those who desire to do the perfect will of God.

Remember in the book of Revelation, the church of Philadelphia received commendation from the LORD because although they had a little strength, they kept the Word of God and did not deny the name of God according to Rev 3: 8. What is even more interesting is that in Rev 3:10, the LORD said, “Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”

I want you to know today that it doesn’t matter how much you come to church, the question is? Are you keeping the WORD of God and not denying the name of God? Because when we stand before the LORD these two principles will testify against everyone on the whole earth!

So today the LORD wanted me to ask a question? Are you connected to God through his faithbook?  I know you have a facebook account, but how is your faithbook account with God?  How many of us know that God is sending out friend requests everyday, and many people just let them hang! ( :

In Rev 3: 20, the LORD said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock. If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. “

Rev 3:21  To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Rev 3:22  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.

Isn’t it amazing that God is knocking and wants to fellowship with many people,  but we are too busy. The LORD wants me to warn each and every person under the sound of my voice who may hear this message, it’s time to get connected to God through his faithbook! The faithbook is your Bible, it is your sword, and it is the Word of God!

I want you to know that if you are going to overcome as a victorious believer in Christ you will have to be strong and obedient as it relates to the Word of God!

You need to know that one of the most important principles in the Kingdom of God for the believer is your faith. Faith is one of the most important principles in the Word of God.

1Jn 5:3  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

1Jn 5:4  For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

1Jn 5:5  Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

In Luke chapter 18, Jesus gave us a parable about prayer and how important it is to pray and not to faint, and that we should be persistent in your prayers.  At the end of Luke 18:8 the last thing that Jesus said is,  “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

So we find that many people are departing from the faith, or losing faith! There are a number of reasons why this could be, but one of the things that the Lord showed me is that the enemy is using the spirit of distraction against many  believers today.  Remember that the Bible says that although we are in the world, we are not of the world. But because of the increase in technology, social media knowledge has increased, and many people are more connected to the things of the world than the things of God.

How many of us know that in today’s generation, knowledge and information travels faster than any period of history known to man.  We have all kinds of gadgets that keep us connected to what’s going on in and around the world and connected to one another.

The most popular medium we have today is Facebook.  Facebook is popular because it allows people to connect to one another all over the world. There are millions of people on Facebook because it is all about connecting with people.

But one of the things the Lord showed me is that although we are connected to people, we need to be connected to God through his Faithbook!  Because there is no way you will be able to overcome trials, tests, tribulations, troubles and temptations if you are not connected to God through relationship and his Word!

Just as we connect to people, we need to connect to God.  There are a lot of people that spend a lot of time on Facebook, but have not connected to God through the Faithbook!

And just because you may not be on Facebook, that doesn’t mean  there aren’t other distractions in your life that prevent you from connecting to God! One of the reasons a lot of people in the body get complacent, and stagnated in their relationship with the Lord is because they disconnect from God. So we may be increasing in wisdom and knowledge of the world, but decreasing in the wisdom and the knowledge of God.

2Ti 3:7  “Always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Listen, when God created you, he created you for his Glory, and when you connect to God you find true purpose, peace, and joy. You also begin to understand that if God created you, you don’t have to stress, you don’t have to struggle, and you don’t have to worry about your life. Because if God made you, surely he knows how to take care of you!

So how do you connect with God? Listen to what the Word of God says!

Jas 4:8  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Jas 4:10  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Mat 11:28  Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Joh 15:7  If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Surrendering is the first step towards connecting to God.  We must be careful church, because we can connect to so many things today which are not really building us up on our most holy faith. We are connected to television, we are connected to the internet, we are connected to people, and we are connected through cellphones. We connect to so many things that are in themselves not bad, but if you are connected to everything else, but not connected to the Lord through prayer, study of the Word, and consistent fellowship, sooner or later you will be weakened by your lack of fellowship.

The LORD said we network with everybody except God. We communicate with people all over the world, except the one who created the world!

The Lord desires to fellowship with each and every one of us.  The scriptures says in Rev 3: 20, “Behold I stand at the door and knock, and if anyone opens the door, I will come in and sup or fellowship with him, and him with me.”

When we fellowship with the Lord, he gives us the strength to overcome and do the impossible. Why? Because nothing is impossible in God, and all things are possible to them that believe! Impossible is always possible through faith when we are connected to the LORD!

And so it is so important we not only connect to God, but stay connected!

It’s like electricity in your home. When you plug into the power source, the power is released!  But the key thing is: You have to plug in!

So someone may be asking how do I connect to God?

First of all you must connect to the source. How do you do that? Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD according to Rom 10:8-10.  Then you must be born again! This is how you get connected.

Joh 3:5  Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Two, If you are already born again and saved, study the Word and stay in the Word! A good idea is to get a good daily devotional.

2Ti 2:15  Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Three, you must stay connected to the LORD! How?  Through faith, and through the faithbook which is his Word!

Joh 15:7  If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

I pray you have been encouraged! I challenge you to spend some quality time in the faithbook which is the Word of God!  God Bless,

Pastor Quinn
