Whatever we endeavor to do in our personal lives or church, whether it be  evangelism, outreach, giving or serving, we must cover one another through persistent prayer!

In order to accomplish this, we must PUSH… Pray until something happens… Persevere until something happens… Push until something happens!
And remember, persistence in prayer is the key to success in Jesus name!

God’s Word is true

Good day friends, a Word of encouragement from ML Excellence Devotional and books!

Joshua 1:13 AKJV Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God has given you rest, and has given you this land.

The Bible says that the promises of God are yes and amen in 2 Cor 1:20. Which means that God’s word is true and that God is not a man that he should lie according to Num 23:19. If he said it in his Word, it will surely come to pass!

In the Bible, Joshua took over for Moses, and had to be reminded that there was a promise given to the children of Israel, and it belonged to them, but they had to rest in God through faith.

Well, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever more, and I want to remind you that God’s Word is true, and every precious promise that applies to your life belongs to you.

Today, God said, don’t fret, dont worry, and don’t fear! Rest in God and remember God said he is giving it to you, but you must believe and receive it by faith!

Whatever promise you are standing on today, just know that God’s Word is true, and it belongs to you! God bless, Pastor Quinn 😊🙏🏾

Don’t be weary!

Good day family and friends, A Word of encouragement from ML Excellence devotional and books!

Gal 6:9-10 KJ2000 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Sometimes in life we get discouraged and disappointed  while doing good!

But the Word of God encourages us not to be weary in doing good. Why? Because in due season, or the proper season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

This should encourage us because whatsoever a man sows, he shall reap, and God knows the appropriate time to release what he has predestined and purposed for our lives!

So, remember to keep sowing good seeds, deeds, and above all keep the faith! Abundant blessings will spring up in the appropriate time!

God bless, Pastor Quinn

You are the light of the world

Good day all, A Word of encouragement for today!

Matt 5:14-16 AKJV
14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light to all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

God has saved and called us to be representatives for the Kingdom of God in the earth. Jesus said we are the light of the world, which means there is a brightness of the glory of God shining from within us! Where ever we go and whatever you do, let us represent the LORD in all of his fullness. That they may see our good works and glorify God in heaven! Because you are his ambassador in the earth!

God bless, Pastor Quinn 😊👍🏾

Prophetic Word of Encouragement

Good day friends, A prophetic Word of encouragement for today:

Deu 30:19 AKJV I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live.

The LORD said, in life, I give you the power of choice. I will not force, coerce, or compulse you. I set before you doors and options. And I desire that you succeed, not fail. To be blessed and not cursed, and above all, to live and not die.

I have come that you may have life more abundantly. So, I say choose life in all of my fullness says the LORD.

Choices are like seeds that you plant, which yield you a harvest of blessings, or a ground cursed like Cain. Today, choose life, that you and your seed may live, says the LORD.

God bless, Pastor Quinn 😊🙏🏾

God will deliver and we must remember!

Zec 10:9  “I will sow them among the peoples, and they shall remember Me in far countries; They shall live, together with their children, and they shall return.

One of the occurring themes in the Bible is that the children of Israel were reminded to remember all of the great things that the LORD did through miracles, signs, and wonders giving them the victory!

This is important because God wanted his people to remember, that He delivered them from bondage, and protected them in the midst of danger, famine or the sword.

In the Ten Commandments the LORD told the people of God:

Exo 20:1  And God spoke all these words, saying:
Exo 20:2  “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Exo 20:3  “You shall have no other gods before Me.

God reminded them that it was He that delivered them out of bondage, and that he was the one true God. They were not to forget this great miraculous deliverance from the LORD!

In Leviticus, the LORD told them: Lev 25:38  I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God.

The LORD reminded them again that he brought them out of Egypt, and would give them the Promised land!

In the book of Zechariah the LORD says:

Zec 10:8  I will whistle for them and gather them, For I will redeem them; And they shall increase as they once increased.
Zec 10:9  “I will sow them among the peoples, and they shall remember Me in far countries; They shall live, together with their children, And they shall return.

As we see, the LORD wanted the people of God to remember who they were, who He was, and what he delivered them from, because he would not forget them. This is very important, because although we live in a different time and dispensation, we must remember who we are, and that it was only God that delivered us, protected us and saved us!

This is why we must never forget our history and what God has done for us. No matter who you are or what you have been through. Always remember that God is the one who causes us to triumph!

The Apostle Paul said in 2 Cor 2:14, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place. “

Even in this time of celebrating Black History month, we remember and recognize the sacrifices and contributions of those that came before us, and paved the way for freedoms!

Someone once asked, “Why do we need a Black History celebration?” Because it causes us to remember what God has done, and we remember people who sacrificed their lives for freedoms that we enjoy today!

During this time, there is a nationwide discourse on African American studies, where there are many articles, discussions, debate and feedback on it. Regardless of the content, the important thing to remember is that Black History is a part of American History.

So, we remember, and share the contributions of Black History which are essential to American history, because Black history in America is a very important part of the American experience, and that part of history should never be minimized.

There are so many historical events that cover a wide range of history to include slavery, abolishment of slavery, Jim Crow, Civil rights movement and the many contributions of Black Americans in American history.

As we remember, we must never forget the wonderful grace that God has bestowed upon us, and what he has done in our lives!

We remember the tragic and painful events of the past, and the triumphs of the present, which are the ingredients of success for victory tomorrow!

Someone once said, ““Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it.” George Santayana

We must never forget our history and always remember the precious promises of God, for they are yes and amen. Because God will never forget his people according to scripture which says:

Zec 10:6 “I will strengthen the house of Judah, And I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back, because I have mercy on them. They shall be as though I had not cast them aside; For I am the LORD their God, And I will hear them.

Zec 10:7 Those of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as if with wine. Yes, their children shall see it and be glad; Their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.

Zec 10:8 I will whistle for them and gather them, For I will redeem them; And they shall increase as they once increased.

Zec 10:9 “I will sow them among the peoples, and they shall remember Me in far countries; They shall live, together with their children, and they shall return.

Zec 10:10 I will also bring them back from the land of Egypt, and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, until no more room is found for them.

Always remember, God is the one who delivers, and we must always remember!

God bless, Pastor Quinn

A Time and a Season!

Ecc 3:1 KJV To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

God is eternal, immortal, and subject to no time. Man is mortal, earthly and subject to time. Time is not on our human side!

Each year the earthly clock ticks away, and seasons come and go, so while you are alive, use your gifts, talents and abilities to make a impact in your time, in your generation and in the life of others.

Because nothing lasts forever, only memories, vision, desire, and fire in our hearts and spirit keeps us moving forward.

But no man or woman can stay on top or live forever. This is life. In a religious sense, the Prophets and Apostles saw it. In an earthy sense Jordan, Ali, Gretsky, and others saw it. No matter rich or poor, small or great!

There is a time and a season for every purpose under heaven to fullfill purpose and enjoy life! There is also a time to pass the baton, and leave things in the hands of capable others, especially youth.

This requires discernment and realistic expectation! Tomorrow is never promised, only today!

The scripture says in
Psa 118:24, “This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Enjoy today, be excellent, do great things and be all God called you to be!

God bless!

Writing a Family or Personal Vision for 2023

Hab 2:2  Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.
Hab 2:3  For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.
Hab 2:4  “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.

As we transition into 2023, I want to encourage you to you to write a family or personal vision for the new year instead of a new year’s resolution.

Why? Because the Bible says to write the vision and make it plain, they he may run who reads it!

I believe that when we do something according to scripture and have faith to believe that God will bring it to pass, we will have much more success in the things that we desire to accomplish.

This is why it is important to prepare a personal vision for you and your family. Because the scripture tells us to write the vision and make it plain on tablets (on paper).

The vision could be for you or your family, your finances, your future, your ministry, or it may be something personal that you want to achieve!  For example:

Family or personal goals – What goals do you have for you, your family and or household? It consists of things that you want to accomplish for you or your household or as a family this year and or beyond.

Financial goals – What goals do you have for yourself financially? It could be a better credit score, debt freedom, financial freedom or even better stewardship. It could be less spending in the world, saving more money, or sowing for the Kingdom of God or a ministry that is making a difference for the LORD.

Future goals – What are you believing God for tomorrow? Next year?  Or the next 2, 3, or 5 years? What are you planning and believing God for in the future?

Ministry goals – What are you believing God for as it relates to your ministry or church, if you have one. How can you use your gift, talents and abilities to serve in the Kingdom of God? How can you expand it for the Kingdom of God? What do you want to do for the LORD? What do you want to do better as it relates to the Kingdom of God?

Personal goals – Could be going back to school, writing a book, buying a home, starting a business, expanding a business, getting in shape, or anything personal that you desire to see come to pass in your life!

When we write the vision and make it plain, we can see it every day. So, print it out, post it on your door, put it on your phone, your back door, or wherever you can view it!  Then, begin to believe that it will come to pass by faith, by prayer and speaking or declaring it out of your mouth.

Can you see yourself financially free? With your own business?  Going back to school, or in that new home? Whatever you are endeavoring to achieve, write the vision and make it plain in Jesus Name!

Why, because when we do it, Hab 2:3, tells us, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries (lingers, delays, or takes a while), wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry (linger, delay, or take a while).

Why? Because God’s word is true. And when we trust God through faith, God said it will come to pass at the appropriate time!

If you desire to write one, go to our church website at https://firmfoundationcf.org/vision-template-2023/ and print out a vision template!

May God bless you to achieve all that is in your heart to do for 2023 and beyond!

God Bless,

Pastor Quinn

The Name above all names!

Mat 1:21  And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Mat 1:22  So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:

Mat 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and they shall call HIS NAME EMMANUEL,” which is translated, “God with us.”

This is a wonderful time and season of the year where families and friends get together and there is much fellowship. People are so joyful and excited, gifts are exchanged and given, but we must never forget that the greatest gift ever given to mankind was Jesus Christ, which the name above all names!

For many of us, Jesus is the reason for all seasons because he is Christ. In the Hebrew translation he is Yeshua Ha ’Mashiach, and there are some that just refer to him as LORD!

Whatever name you know him as, we must always remember that he is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and his name is above all names!

Isaiah the prophet prophesied in Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Before Jesus came on the scene, the Prophet Isaiah prophesied that a child would be born and the government would be upon his shoulder, and his name would be called five interesting things which are so profound, and they are: Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace!

These are indeed beautiful names which are representative of who Christ is, and I am sure that someone under the sound of my voice can testify that God has been many of these things in their lives!

In the book of Matthew, Christ birth is foretold by the angel Gabriel, and they are told that his name shall be called Jesus or in the Hebrew; Yehoshua or Yeshua which means Jehovah or Yehovah saves. (Yahweh saves).

Is this not what Christ came to do? To seek and to save that which is lost?

Mat 1:21  And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Mat 1:22  So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:

Mat 1:23  “BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD, AND BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME, EMMANUEL, which is translated, “God with us.”

The scripture alao says that he would also be called Emmanuel, which means God with us!

This is so profound because the scripture says in John 1:14, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Jesus came into this earth realm to dwell with us, save us, commune with us, and to restore us back to the Father!

John 3:16 states, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Joh 3:17  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

This scripture says it all, but I am reminded of the words that Jesus asked his disciples in Matt 16, which is so profound!

Mat 16:13  When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”

Mat 16:14  So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

Mat 16:15  He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

Mat 16:16  Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Mat 16:17  Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

This is so powerful, because today the LORD is asking these same two questions! Who do men say that I am, and who do you say I am?

You see, when Christ walked the earth, there were a lot of names that people said he was, but the question remains to each and every person reading today. Who do you say that Christ is?

Was he just a good teacher in the Bible that God used mightily? Is he just another prophet among many that God sent? Was he just a Rabbi, or a good holy man?  No! He was the Christ, Messiah, the Son of the living God!

His name is indeed name above all names!  Listen, there are a lot of famous names today in the world, and all of them may have some significance, but understand there is only one name that is name above all names, and that is the name of Jesus Christ! (Yeshua Ha Mashiach) who is LORD of Lords and KING of Kings!

Peter, who became an Apostle testified of that name after he received the revelation in Matthew chapter 16. He then told the people the following after healing a man in the name of Jesus:

Act 4:7  And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?”

Act 4:8  Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel:

Act 4:9  If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well,

Act 4:10  let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.

Act 4:11 This is the stone which the builders rejected, which has become the Chief Cornerstone.”

Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

As we celebrate the holidays, stand strong in the name of Jesus Christ, lift up the name of Jesus, give in the name of Jesus and let us never forget, he is the greatest gift that could ever be given or received!

God bless, Pastor Quinn
