Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
The Word of God declares that when we hunger and thirst after righteousness we shall be filled. This is not only a Biblical principle but a life principle! How many of us know that you can’t accomplish your goals, dreams, visions or aspirations without a hunger to fulfill that which is in your heart!
Anyone who accomplished anything great did not sit on the dock of the bay and watch the tide roll away. They did not wade in the baby pool! They launched out into the deep! They were persistent! They had a fire within them! They were unstoppable and didn’t let anything stop them from accomplishing their goals or dreams!
One of the greatest hindrances to spiritual growth and fulfilling purpose is that you go through the motions in church week after week. Did you know that it is possible to be in church week after week and be comfortable in church?
In the book of Revelation chapters 2 & 3, it references seven churches that received letters from the LORD Jesus and he commended or rebuked them for their works! Theologians say that there was a compromising church, corrupt church, dead church, lukewarm church, loveless church, persecuted church and a faithful church!
Now the Bible says that we are the church. Which means it is not talking about a building but a people. I pray that none of those churches mentioned describes you, with the exception of the faithful church! If it does, we must check ourselves before we wreck ourselves! We must begin to hunger and thirst after righteousness, ask God to renew your strength, restore the joy of your salvation and ignite a fire in you that cannot be quenched! Then begin to hunger and thirst after righteousness, and guess what the Bible says that when you do, you shall be filled! God Bless,
