Receiving God’s Benefits

The Word of the LORD for this week is “Receiving God’s Benefits”

Psa 103:1  A Psalm Of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Psa 103:2  Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
Psa 103:3  Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,
Psa 103:4  Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Psa 103:5  Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

As we prepare to end one year and cross over into a New Year soon, I want to encourage you with the words of David who said, “Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!” Why did David say that? Because he knew that the LORD had done great and mighty works in him and through the people of God! We must never forget that we are here today because of Gods grace and great mercy!  Man had nothing to do with it. It was by the grace of Almighty Elohim!  Just think back to where you were years ago, or what God brought you through! When we get the understanding of Psalm 103, then we will understand why we must never forget! Lets take a look at Psalm 103:2-5.

Psalm 103:2 says,  Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. This is important because we should always bless the LORD and never forget all that he has done for us! Question? Are you partaking of all of God’s promises and benefits? They belong to you as a child of God. The Bible says in Gal 3:29, ” And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” The promises of God, and the benefits of God belong to each and every one of his beloved children. Now lets take a look at some of those benefits in Psalm 103:3-5.

Psa 103:3 says, ” Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.”  God has delivered us from our sins, cleansed us, and redeemed us! He has healed our bodies and made us whole, spirit, mind, body and soul? Even if you are still waiting on the manifestation of healing, you must believe and receive it by faith! Because it is going to manifest in Jesus Name! Why because it is already done! The Bible says in 1 Peter 2: 24, “By his stripes were healed.”

Psa 103:4 says, “Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies. ” The LORD called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. He saved us and delivered us from destruction. Think about all the people who have not come to the knowledge of truth in Jesus Christ yet. Praise be to God for redeeming our life from destruction!  He has also kept the enemy of our soul from killing us. He also crowned you with love, kindness and tender mercies! I thank God that he is not like human beings, who will love conditionally, but God loves us unconditionally. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!

Psa 103:5 says, “Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”  The LORD has blessed us and satisfied us with our hearts desires. Truth be told, you may not have everything you want, but God has satisfied you with wonderful things throughout your life. He has given you life, peace, joy, strength, a job, good friends, a home,  and even material things! Not only that, he has renewed our strength like the eagle so that we can soar and go higher and deeper in him.

God is the one who gives youthfulness and long life. When people ask me why I look so young, I tell them Psalm 103:5 is my portion. Why? Because it says, our strength is renewed like the eagle’s. Although we have been through many trials, tribulations, tests, and troubles in 2019 and previous years! You must believe that this is your season! God has given us the victory through overcoming faith, and 2020 will be an awesome year of joy, restoration and blessing! The Bible says that those that have sown in tears shall reap in joy!

Let’s read Psa 126:5-6: “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.  He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. ” In other words, all of the tears, hurt and pain and that you experienced will turn to joy!”

Remember that the LORD loves you and began a good work in you, and He will perform it until the day that Jesus Christ comes!  God Bless, Pastor Quinn
