Everything has a time and season

Ecc 3:1  To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
Ecc 3:2  A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
Ecc 3:3  A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;
Ecc 3:4  A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
Ecc 3:5  A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
Ecc 3:6  A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away;
Ecc 3:7  A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;
Ecc 3:8  A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.

Some of the most profound passages of scriptures in the Bible come from Ecclesiastes chapter 3: verses 1-8.  The Bible says that there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven. This should encourage us because everything has a time and a season. The revelation of the scripture as it pertains to us is; what we are going through will not last always. In other words, God has ordained seasons for everything in the earth to change, and that which He has ordained will come to pass in the appointed time. Wounds will heal, relationships will heal, the sun will shine, a new day will dawn, trials will turn to triumph, and trouble will not last always!

God in his great grace has given to us seasons and times according to that which he has ordained. This means that tomorrow is a brighter day. You may be going through right now, but tomorrow will be a greater day! Maybe this is why the scripture says in Psalm 30:5, speaking about the LORD, “For his anger endures but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” If we really understood times, seasons and the purposes of God, we would be more inclined to stay focused on the journey ahead. Because in this journey called life; there will be ups, downs, trials, tribulations, tests, troubles, temptations, transitions, and tragedy’s. There will be agreements, disagreements, sickness, healing, love, hate, living, dying, laughing, mourning, love, and hate. Solomon the wise man lets us know that this is how God has ordained seasons and times in creation.  Things will change, people will change, times will change, your age will change, but God will remain the same! Malachi 3:6 says, “For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.” Hebrews 13: 8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

This should be good news for all of us, because no matter what happens in life or whatever season we are in, the purpose of God is going to come to pass.  Maybe this is why the Apostle Paul said in Rom 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Although situations in life may look bad, God has a plan, and it will work out for our good according to his purpose.  David confirms it in Psalm 34:1, “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”  So no matter what season you are in, no matter what time may bring, rejoice and know that God will work it out for your good and for His glory in Jesus name, Amen!
