Freedom from Bondage

Good day all, A Word of encouragement to bless your day!

John 8:36 AKJV – If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

On Jan 1, 1863. The Emancipation Proclamation was issued by Abraham Lincoln that all enslaved people in confederate states were free! Although it was issued, many people were still held in the bondage of slavery.

Specifically in Texas, where slavery continued until the spring of 1865, when General Granger and Union troops showed up on June 19, 1865 and emancipated those were still enslaved.

This a powerful historic story of freedom, in which I am reminded of the bondage of sin, which still enslaves many people today.

Just as a man rode into Texas proclaiming freedom in 1865, the God man, Jesus Christ came to earth, and set the captives free from the bondage of sin!

Truth be told, many people don’t know the truth of his sacrifice to deliver every human being from the bondage of sin, where he provided deliverance, freedom, and salvation at the cross.

The scripture says in John 8:32 AKJV, And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Do you know the truth about that great sacrifice? When Jesus, the Son of God came to earth, to die for the sins of the world?

Joh 8:36 AKJV says, If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

Just as Emancipation Day on June 19th, 1865 set the captives free from slavery.

The Lord Jesus(Yeshua) came and delivered us from the slavery of sin, which means truly he has made us free indeed!

Always remember what Christ said in Luk 4:18 AKJV:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.

And verse 19 is the prophetic profound verse:

Luk 4:19 AKJV To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Today if you have not accepted his freedom made available at the cross do it today!

John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.t5

Today, receive and celebrate freedom spiritually and physically, because we are truly free! Be blessed and walk out your freedom everyday in Christ! God bless, Pastor Quinn
