Prayer, Prophecy and Praise Revisited

Good day friends and family,

As I awoke this morning, I felt the heavy burden of prayer, and as I prayed the Lord brought to my remembrance the significance and importance of prayer, prophecy and praise!

Over the next few weeks, I am going to share on each one of them in greater detail, because the saints of God must know that these spiritual weapons of warfare are not carnal, but are mighty in God to the pulling down of strongholds!

2 Cor 10:4 AKJV (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

So, let’s talk about prayer, which is a powerful virtue given by God that allows us to commune with him, connect us to heaven, and effect change in the earth realm.

Lets be clear, if you are going to do anything significant or great in the earth for the LORD, its going to include prayer and faith! Period.

Regardless of your status, education or gifting. If you lack prayer, you are missing an important component in your life! Prayer is the divine balance in your life that opens the door to breakthrough and blessing!

At some point in your life, regardless of who you are, you will need to connect to heaven through prayer for divine direction, grace, strength, peace and needs!

It is amazing that the disciples walked with Jesus and saw him casting out devils, sharing revelational parables, and performing miracles. Yet they didn’t ask him how he did those things. Guess what they asked? Luke chapter 11 verse 1 tells us!

Luk 11:1 AKJV And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

Isn’t that profound? You see, the things that are taking place in the earth and in your life, often times require divine intervention, and since God has all power in his Holy hands, and is able to make all grace abound toward us, we look to the hills and heavens, from where our help comes!

Psalm 121:1-2 AKJV 1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from where comes my help. 2 My help comes from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

I have much more to share, but I want to leave you with this! In Luke chapter 18, Jesus tells the parable of a widow who needed justice against her adversary, and starts the story off by saying:

Luk 18:1 AKJV And he spoke a parable to them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

So, in the beginning we see the story is about prayer, where the widow has a need, which is justice against an adversary!

The Bible does not specify what that need was. Just like this widow had a need, all of us have a need at times in our lives!

So in seeking justice, this widow continuously goes to an unjust judge who would not give her justice! Eventually, he relented and gave her justice!

Luk 18:4-5 AKJV 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 Yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

At the end of the story, Jesus makes a profound point and says :

Luk 18:6-8 AKJV 6 And the Lord said, hear what the unjust judge said. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night to him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?

So, the moral of the story is that just as this widow got what she needed from an unjust man because of her persistence. You will also get what you need from the Lord, if you are persistent in prayer! Be encouraged and keep praying! Help is on the way!
