Good day all, a prophetic word to believers and church’s in the Lord!
Revelation 3:1-3
1 And to the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things said he that has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know your works, that you have a name that you live, and are dead.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found your works perfect before God.
3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore you will not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
Isn’t it a travesty that this church had a name that they were alive but were dead. The Lord said, I know your works. Which means God knew everything about them.
He knew who they where and what they had achieved. Likewise, God knows everything about us as individuals.
But, the Lord told them to be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found your works perfect before God.
In other words, it’s time to open our eyes to see what God sees, and to watch with vigilance, as well as pray. Because the enemy desires to steal, kill and destroy.
So, the Lord said we must strengthen those things that remain! In other words, what little strength we have, build upon that strength to get stronger in Christ!
It’s interesting that the Lord said, I have not found your works perfect before God! In other words, they had some works, but God said they are not what pleases me.
Question? Is God pleased with your works and what you do?
God wants our works to be as perfect as they can be in him.
Understand that perfection is not easy, but it will come when we embrace these seven virtues in our works for the Lord.
1. Commitment in Christ
2. Excellence in Christ
3. Faith in Christ
4. Fire for the works of Christ
5. Passion in Christ
6. Unity in Christ
7. Zeal for Christ
No church or individual is exempt from becoming like the church of Sardis in these last days.
Let us pray to the Lord, who has the seven spirits of God, for the seven virtues of perfection in Christ, to strengthen those things that remain in this season!
God bless, Pastor Quinn
