Spiritual Warfare Principles

Good day all,

In the times which we live today, we find so much evil, division, racism, and violence in the world! The question is where does it proceed from?

The Apostle Paul told us in Ephesians chapter 6 the following:

Eph 6:12 -For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

So, knowing this, we need to understand Biblical spiritual warfare principles.

The Bible says wisdom is the principal thing. In all your getting, get understanding. Prov 4:7

We not only need  authority and power, but we need wisdom and understanding as it relates to spiritual warfare!

Remember all believers have authority and power according to Luke 10:19, and Acts 1:8, but the battle against Satan himself belongs to the LORD!  Rev 20:1-3

Because the battle is not ours but the LORD’S! Sometimes we believe that because we have spiritual authority and power, we can fight who we want in the spirit realm.

This is an error. Because Satan and his evil foot soldiers have been around for a long time, and many are of the fallen angel’s legacy.

For example, I used to box in the Navy, I thought I had skills and power to fight the biggest and best, and almost got knocked out! Lol..

There are some battles we don’t need to fight. We must stay in our lane, and let the Chief Shepherd and Great Shepherd Jesus Christ fight for us,  who has all authority and power in his hand. Matt 28:18, 1 Peter 2:25 and 1 Peter 5:4.

Nevertheless, we are to put on the armor of God and be ready for battle in spiritual warfare! Ephesians 6:10-19.

As soldiers for Christ, we fight in the spirit realm against the demonic soldiers of evil, who are demons, devils, unclean and evil spirits, familiar spirits, those practicing  witchcraft, sorcery, divination, and all other principalities and powers according to Ephesians 6:12.

But we invoke the name of the Lord against the Chief Ruler Spirit who is Satan according to Zec 3:1-2.

Remember the principles of spiritual warfare consist of binding and loosing in Jesus name! So, we bind, rebuke, and cast out evil! Then we loose what needs to be restored.  Matt 12:29, Matt 16:19, Matt 17:18, and Matt 18:18.

For example, “I bind and rebuke the spirit of sickness, I cast it out and loose healing grace in Jesus (Yeshua’s) name!”

Another example, “I bind and rebuke that demon and  spirit of poverty, I cast it out and loose prosperity in Jesus (Yeshua’s) name!”

If you need wisdom in fighting in the spirit, read Psalm 144:1 and Matt 11:12.

Remember there is a rank structure in the spirit realm and physical realm as well. There is spiritual authority we have been granted according to our calling as leaders in Christ. Ephesians 4:1.

For example we give honor to whom honor is due. Romans 13:17, but Elders (ie.. Apostles, Bishops and Pastors) are to receive double honor according to 1 Thess 5:17.

We must use wisdom and stay in our spiritual lane of authority in spiritual warfare.

The Seven Sons of Sceva wanted to cast out evil spirits in the name of Jesus that the Apostle Paul preached, and did not have that authority. And the evil spirits beat them down and stripped them naked! Acts 19:11-17. Wow!

Remember, because we have delegated power and authority in Christ to trample on serpents and scorpions, and all the power of the enemy, we use wisdom!  Luke 10:19

In conclusion, stand strong in the LORD, walk in the spirit, and stay prayed up with power knowing that Isaiah 54:17 is our portion. Read these links for additional information!
