Isa 43:18 “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Isa 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
In scriptural numerics or Biblical mathematics, the number 8 is symbolic of new creation, new birth, new things or new beginning.
In this month of August alone, I have personally seen God do great things, and I am sure, many of you can testify of the same!
The Lord said this is a season of reaping that which was sown in times past! God is so good, because he will never forget your sacrifices or labor of love.
Isaiah tells us in Isaiah 43:18-19, Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold I do a new thing!
In other words, yesterday is history, and tomorrow is a mystery, but what we do TODAY determines our tomorrow!
Sometimes people will even write you off, but always remember God is in control of your destiny and your future, not people! And whatever God does is according to his perfect timing and plan for your life!
If you have a vision, a dream, aspiration or goal, remember Hab 2:3 says, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”
Always keep the faith and know that at certain times and seasons, God will open great doors of opportunity on your behalf when you are steadfast, immovable and always abounding in the work of the LORD!
The Bible tells us in Luke 12:6 “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God.
Luke 12:7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.
There is a gospel song that says, ” I am not forgotten, God knows my name!”
God knows you by name and the very hairs on your head are numbered, and God said you are of more value than many sparrows!
The Bible even says in Psalm 147:4 He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.
Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.
So, in this 8th month, God is doing a new thing and it is so profound! Forget about the old and embrace the new!
In scripture, the Lord shows us the significance of the number 8. It is not numerology, it is scriptural numerics in which the LORD uses numbers in scripture to give us revelation into his divine will and plan. Word to the wise; never take the holy things of God, and use them in a carnal way!
But, we find something interesting in scripture. King David was the 8th son of Jesse.
In 1 Samuel 16:1-13, Samuel the Prophet was told to go to the house of Jesse to select the new King. Jesse had seven sons, and none of them were selected to be the new King. But David was the 8th son, and God chose him, signifying a new beginning for Israel.
The old King, Saul passed away, but God raised up a new King, who had a heart for God who would be the leader of a new kingdom, and in his bloodline, Christ would come forth establishing the new covenant in his blood!
Luk 22:20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.
King David was so significant, that the Bible calls Yeshua Christ in the book of Matthew chapter 1, the Son of David!
Matt 1:1 The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.
In the book of Genesis, when God allowed a flood to destroy the world because of the wickedness of men. Noah and his family, a total of 8 people were chosen to enter the ark and to repopulate the earth.
The Apostle Peter tells us in 1 Peter 3:18-20 about the ministry of Christ, and mentions Noah and his family, 8 souls who were saved through the flood by water.
So today, embrace this new season and receive by faith all that God has predestined, purposed, planned, promised and prophesied in his Word concerning your life! It is my prayer that it comes to pass in this season and month of August, the 8th month!
God bless, Pastor Quinn
