Good day family and friends, A Word of encouragement from ML Excellence devotional and books entitled: Overflowing Love.
Song of Songs 8:7 says, Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the wealth of his house for love, it would utterly be rejected.
The great commandment in Matthew 22:37-40 is to love God first, and love your neighbor as you love yourself according to Christ.
The Bible even says in John 3:16, that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish, but will have everlasting life!
So in scripture we see that love is a powerful virtue, and when it is exercised it can break down the hardest hearts!
Solomon, the wise man said that many waters cannot quench love, or even flood it.
This is amazing, because water is a powerful source and force that can destroy, flood, cleanse, wash and refresh us!
Water in a tsunami can destroy a whole town. Hurricane waters have destroyed thousands of homes in Florida as well. But Solomon said many waters cannot quench love, or even flood it.
This is the power of love! God loved us so much that he gave his beloved Son, Yeshua to die for the sins of the world.
Isn’t that something? A world that doesn’t believe. A world that hates others because of skin color, but God’s love surpasses hate, animosity, bitterness and even misunderstanding.
This is the kind of love America and the world needs, but it will only receive it when it turns back to the source of love, which is God Almighty.
Our prayer for the church, communities, cities and country should be, that all people turn back to LORD, who is the source of grace, mercy, peace, unity and love.
Without it, we have only hate, in which we are headed for destruction and judgment from the one who said, love God first, and love your neighbor as you love yourself!
God bless, Pastor Quinn
