Word of encouragement from the Lord.
Proverbs 10:12 KJ2000, Hatred stirs up strife: but love covers all sins.
The scripture says that hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins.
This is so profound and true. Because what we see on the news and many parts of the country with violence, division, racism and murder comes from the root of hatred.
Maybe this is why the Lord in his eternal wisdom and scripture said, “Love God first, and love your neighbor as you love yourself. “(Deut 6:4-5, Matt 22:35-40)”
True love for God enables a person to recognize and respect, that all have been created in the image of God, and to show that love to your neighbor, regardless of who they are.
Love enables us to cover those sins, although we don’t approve of sin.
When we have the mind of Christ, we treat people as Christ would treat them, with unconditional love.
The scripture says that God is not willing that any would perish, but that all would come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
Maybe it’s time that the country and many in the world who claim to know Christ, started loving people like Christ.
Maybe then we can change the attitude and mindset in our communities, cities and country toward one another.
When we stand before God on that day, love or hate will be one of the things that will testify for us or against us. Let us choose the way of love like Christ.
