Faith to move mountains

Mar 11:22  So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

Mar 11:23  For assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

This is one of my favorite Bible verses in the Bible. It is so powerful, because Jesus tells us to have faith in God, and then he proceeds to give us instructions as to what we should do, when there is a mountain in the way of us getting a breakthrough or blessing!

But the bigger question is, “What do you do when your faith does not move the mountain?” Let’s go a little deeper! What do you do when you speak to your mountain and it does not move?

You need to know that there may be times when your faith and speaking to the mountain may not move the mountain, especially if God allows the mountain to be placed there!  Mountains can come as trials, tribulations, troubles, tests, temptations and even tragedies!

There are all types of mountains that you can encounter in life, and guess what, there are mountains strategically placed there by God to test you and mature in your faith!

Personal mountains can be overcome by faith and speaking to the mountain! Demonic mountains can be moved by prayer and fasting according to Matthew 17:14-21, But what do you do when God is using the mountain for his glory and your good?

Are you ready for this? Remember to do the following:

1. Have faith in God.

2. Pray and fast.

3. Stay in the Word.

4. Listen for the Holy Spirit.

5. Be obedient to the instructions God gives you.

Also we need to remember what James said in James 1: 2-3

Jas 1:2  My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

Jas 1:3  knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

Jas 1:4  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

James said count it all joy because your faith is going through a test! Then he says something so profound!   That the testing of your faith produces patience! Lets be real! We can be so impatient, but God is working patience in your life that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing!

Saints, I want you to know that demonic mountains may try to crush you, personal mountains may discourage you, but God will use mountains to perfect and complete you! We may not understand it, but God is working it out for your good! Because weeping may endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning! Just remember that God is the one that determines the morning! Just be patient, stay in faith,  and know that God is working it out for your good and for his glory!

God Bless, Pastor Quinn
